Yes thank you cuz I stopped running for three months because my life got chaotic and I lost my grandma to cancer so I couldn’t run cuz I didn’t have time so now that I’m getting back into it my endurance is gone and I was trying to get it back thanks!

my heart rate usually goes up to 150-160 even if im on a feel good easy run, please remember that heart rate zones are different for everyone, you definitely have a very low heart rate.

140bpm is not a good measure because everyone’s heart rate ranges are different. My LTHR is 185 and max heart rate is 209 according to my Garmin, which puts my zone 2 upper limit at like 164. 150-160 for me is still my ‘park run’ pace when I can have a chat while running

Also as a beginner (I’m talking like complete couch potato, no athletic training at all), I think running zone 2 is borderline impossible. Some people will probably hit their lactate threshold after 2 minutes of running at any pace and for complete beginners it’s better to employ a walk and run routine like c25k

Why under 140bpm? Isn’t that zone 1. Would love a short explanation!
