A big thing is whether you want to be self employed or you wanted to work at a gym as an employee. Most gyms require certain nationally accredited certs. I have one with NASM. But he’s absolutely right that it doesn’t really matter when it comes to training experience. Cause any joe shmoe can study that course (which took me a month to complete and pass) get the cert and could have never stepped into a gym in their life. And honestly most commercial gyms that hire you as an employee care more about the money. You end up being like 70% a salesman and 30% a trainer in their eyes. At least in the gym I was going to work at. I would say 80% of the trainers in that gym don’t look fit at all.
Should
Someone focus on getting certified or focus on being a digital trainer first and then using that money to get certified to make you more credible/professional,etc

Im certified with ISSA but he is correct it doesn’t matter, just be sure to get your insurance policy, client results with before and after photos is key in my opinion.

The only certification I consider useful even necessary are the hands on certifications like NPTI and NFTP. Just because he’s right it is not rocket science for those who have the knowledge. But the hands on training, especially how to SAFELY train someone with previous injuries or have zero gym experience is a requirement at least when I hire for my studio. I don’t really care where you get your cert from. As long as you can keep the clients as safe as possible. For those who know, trining high end clients and having them slightly pull something can be a nightmare not to mention actually having them injured on the premises. The insurance is there. But the reputation won’t be there after an incident like that. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen trainers think they know their shit but have zero idea of how to progressively train people who have issues due to age, experience or previous injury. So in conclusion it does not matter always to the regular girl and boy. But it does matter to some of the higher paying clients and I think it should matter to you to some degree.
My question is what certification should new trainers get if not NASM?
This guy sucks
But for getting job as a trainer in gym certification is necessary
Hi,I have Nsca-cpt, but I’m wondering which one is the most respected certificate worldwide especially in those big country

Love you bro but I seriously think your keto diet is what caused your test levels to plummet . It’s a fallacy

If you have a good physique and you working out more than 2 year then a one beginner doesn’t hesitate to take PT❤
A piece of paper vs. a great looking body..
Would you want to be trained by a book worm or a person that’s has a physical looking body….
But gyms have preference
