Should You Buy Lifting Shoes???

Should you buy lifting shoes? Maybe! If you struggle to hit depth on a squat due to limited ankle mobility, they could be a great option. They alter the body’s center of gravity with their elevated heel. This allows you to go deeper with less ankle mobility requirements. This increases knee flexion, placing more emphasis onto your quads. Most lifting shoes also have a solid bottom, ensuring that you are producing force through a stable surface.

i would not actually recommend standing on plates because the instability from that will cause your nervous system to inhibit the amount of force you can exert

Bruh. Mad skinny-thigh dudes talking about shoes. Look at those lil hams, they don’t care what shoe you in. Shoes are not going to help you get beefy; you just need to have firm soles so you don’t get hurt. Not that complicated. Buy regular ass shoes. Been rocking Nike Varsity Competes – basic shoes with firm soles and OK support – for years now. Y’all overthinking it.

THATS WHY MY BACK IS COLLAPSING. I had to change shoes recently due to travel and went from Converse to what I happened to have lying around: New Balance generic training shoes. Soft, uniform sole. No wonder I can’t hit my old number and my back has started collapsing: instability has eliminated my range of motion and my hips are rolling to compensate. Thanks so much for posting this! I just thought i had become weak 🤣🤣🤣

I would not use that elevated heel for deadlifting.

everything about this video is wrong. Converse are the worst type of shoe for lifting.
