Could you make a video on how to take a leak while you’re in the middle of a race? 🐎
This helped me out so much long ago. I really want to appreciate you posting this video because it helped me realize my running form was poor and it was the reason why I had frequent knee pain.
I would love to run 2500m in 12minutes…i am able to do 2km and i feel like imma spit out my soul
Not one good running form example video in this video. Also, don’t breath through your belly. WRONG. Breath deep large breaths in your chest.
Sin pain back side problem… Plz..riplay
What if you have flat foot which causes stinging pain in the foot while running?any tips on that?
yeah idk why theres so much debate about foot strike. its biomechanics. most people have proportions that are well within the bounds of whats optimal. but the key problem is the truly odd phenomenon of feeling insulted about proper technique. i mean some random guy correcting someone else unprompted can indeed be super cringe, but why is the science coddling? science shouldnt be coddling. science should be sciencing.
Most garbage sport to make you age faster.
I would not go with heel strikes….even if it feels natural.
Always pulling my calf,I even stretch, what can I do
Turcotte Mountain
What is the song ?
Thanks so much for this video! Realized from this I am slouching forward way too much.. Anyone have opinions about running on bitumen road vs concrete path? I realize concrete is a harder surface and thus causes more impact, but my local concrete path is a straight-line run – whereas on bitumen road I’m having to make frequent turning maneuvers to run around parked cars which feels like it also impacts my knees.
4:28 she cute ❤
Been using your stretching videos but never watched any others (very slow, aged beginner runner) Wish I had done earlier. I, through trial and error, corrected my posture and that made my running so much better. I found that pulling my shoulders back made my posture better and more in line as per the video and running changed overnight. Will now be trying the rest of the techniques in this video. Thanks.
Marvelous video!
That’s all ok, but you didn’t mention heart rate… The goal is not only to increase speed, but also to run in a heart rate zone that is not dangerous for the runner (amateur). So – be careful with the number of beats!
excellent tips, thanks
Fantastic
3:43 damn that dude has some white legs lol
Hey,why does my shoulder hurt when running,it ruins my runs
Merci !
Best video on this I’ve seen great job and i really appreciate you making this
These tips made an instant difference—running feels so much better now!
Gracias
1. Posture
2. Cadence
3. Foot strike
4. Arm Swing
5. Breathing technique
Thanks for the video. I really learned from it
I can’t breathe while running I feel like I want to die after half a mile
Awesome info
Thanks andrew for defending my religion
Excellent
Trap workouts will do wonders and oblique workouts (strong core will displace stress)
Honestly I don’t even know how I’d know if my cadence is below 170… I don’t really find that helpful as advice
That’s why I love the Brits…straight to the point. No point in laboring our ears with some personal diatribe to "motivate" us. Nuff said.
The first image… that’s a skeleton running… not healthy at all 😮
Good content…What happened to your training and goal of running sub 3 at 40?
I am training and preparing for Olympics maraton. This helps a lot ❤
Hi, I’ve been dealing with patellar pain, any recommendations? Thanks in advance for your help
Thanks😊
I started running two weeks ago by doing a 5k. Then a 5k last weekend. Sprinkled with some other runs. I overdid it (definitely with poor form) and ended up jacking my achilles up a little bit 😂. I can’t wait for it to get better so I can try these techniques!!
Thank you James for the excellent, clear and concise explanation! Triathlons comin in on Thursday I’ll incorporate those actions.
First Tip :
Born as a kenyan
Yeah the opposite still got mr
WHAT IS THIS SONG CALLED
most successful runners have very straight legs
Great lesson. Except from that „rhythmic breathing“ is based on an uneven breathing pattern, usually a 3:2 pattern, where you inhale for 3 and exhale for 2 steps. The idea behind is to distribute the weight of your body alternating to each foot when landing while you exhale.
Slightly leaning forward from the trunk is important..
thank you
i find myself almost struggling to get enough air when doing 33 but 22 sounds a bit like hyperventilating. (im training to run a sub 12min 3km so it has to be at good speed for a short amount of time..) if i breathe into my stomach still is that fine? with 33 i find myself gasping for air more
What a poor tutorial
