ADDITIONAL VIDEO NOTES:
This is the Fitbit Charge 6, and it is likely to be my most recommended wearable of the year. Let me explain.

A lot of people don’t want a $300 smartwatch that needs to be charged every night. They want a subtle device with a long battery life that tracks health and fitness, has google pay, notifications, and maybe a few other smart watch features. So what are your options here? You can’t get a WearOS watch or even a Galaxy watch thanks to the battery. A Garmin device would work but they are very expensive. So that brings us to Fitness Bands. Of all the smart bands out there, the new Fitbit Charge 6 is going to be the most appealing here in America.

Mike, I really love the way you post a video and then don’t seem to reply to, not one comment. Way to go!

I’ve had two Fitbits in six years: the Charge 2 and Charge 3. My Charge 3 died yesterday, so I need a new one. I’d rather stick with Fitbit since all my health records are there, but the charging issues are annoying – it seems one Charge won’t last more than three years!

You should include a review of the free smartphone app. One area of interest is usefulness swimming. My experience is watch cuts out after 10-15 minutes even when displayed is water locked.

  9. @XA0C2U on June 15, 2025 at 2:08 am

This is a piece of garbage that leaks 1 single time swimming in the sea.
    Just a waste of money!

Pls avoid fitbit…no proper services even no service center in india.

  11. @triinvalk on June 15, 2025 at 2:11 am

I had a pretty uniqe experience with the FItBit Charge 5. It was nice and did everything that I wanted from a wearable, but after a year of using it something alarming happened to it. I just woke up one day to the display going absolutely crazy: it was changing colours, not responding to touch, fading to black in various spots and the screen eventually died during the end of day. When we brought it up to repair they told us that it couldn’t be fixed and gave us around 170€ back because it was still under guarantee.
It was around 3 years ago and I have had a Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 (the battery life of it was terribile after 2 years of using it and i passed it down to another family member), but around a year ago I got a Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro for an incredible discounted price (it’s 3 day battery life is still going strong).

Bad watch when the band doesn’t hold, and keeps coming off, thank goodness I was able to returned it, can fit bit improve their product? , I lost my first fit bit bc of the stupid design , don’t waste your money.

  13. @annediedrich174 on June 15, 2025 at 2:11 am

haven’t had a fitbit last more than 7 months- ever.

  14. @Cinnbad on June 15, 2025 at 2:12 am

I will never invest in a fitbit again! The straps are cheap, and absolute garbage.

  15. @AbbyRundle on June 15, 2025 at 2:15 am

This item has a range and was purchased for me from Amazon early last month and it really does help keep my hair from getting damaged but it has helped a ton in terms that are more expensive for my face shape and it really helped with eyebrows but the other one is not very expensive because the hair looks like it’s been really good 😌 it’s really good 😊 and remember the good 😌 thank everybody who came by for this purchase so far it’s so much more than just the one thing you can give you for this and it’s worth that much for your money ❤❤❤

  16. @lizj4509 on June 15, 2025 at 2:17 am

i think you get 6 months free for getting a new device

  17. @davescom on June 15, 2025 at 2:22 am

No wireless charging is a deal breaker for me.

  18. @worldmedic3187 on June 15, 2025 at 2:23 am

I just lost my Fitbit charge 2 that I have had for years. I might pick this one up

  19. @juliahello6673 on June 15, 2025 at 2:24 am

My Fitbit stopped charging after three and a half months. Fitbit did not honor my warranty because I had bought it at Amazon!!! DO NOT BUY A FITBIT!

  20. @debbyapling8583 on June 15, 2025 at 2:25 am

Since I got the Charge 6 in March 1994, Fitbit has regularly dropped functionality and features that should show data are blank daily. The "help" from the user forum is not well organized–if I’m scrolling down it can’t maintain the place when I look at a post, and can’t maintain a subject, like limiting to Charge 6 when I initially specified Charge 6. "Help" also consists of try this, try that suggestions from other users, no real solutions from mfr.

  21. @Juli-n-David on June 15, 2025 at 2:27 am

So from what I read in the comments what are you using it was not a Fitbit

  22. @ItsNicolau on June 15, 2025 at 2:29 am

I found an "open box – like new" model on Amazon for 68€ (MSRP here is still the 160€), so I think it was a pretty good deal. I’m looking forward to owning a wearable and keeping better track of my health and fitness. Thanks for the review Mike!

  25. @merccomm8715 on June 15, 2025 at 2:29 am

the paywall makes it worthless junk

  26. @ChrisDIYerOklahoma on June 15, 2025 at 2:29 am

I have had the Charge 2 + Premium for YEARS. It is still working fine, charges up, etc. However, the "Zone Active" and heartrate are failing to show on the APP (my phone). Steps and sleeping monitor work and are useful. But, I want it all to work. Just ordered a Charge 6 and a nice band. Same day delivery with Amazon Prime in my area

  27. @bixby2993 on June 15, 2025 at 2:29 am

I hope next time you explain calmly, don’t act like you’re an Armalite.

  28. @emreon3160 on June 15, 2025 at 2:29 am

This is actually a good review.

  29. @daveh4208 on June 15, 2025 at 2:31 am

I wouldn’t recommend one, my doesn’t track sleep, steps, or heart rate accurately.

  30. @daybrake2 on June 15, 2025 at 2:31 am

5:02 phlebotomists must love you lmao

  31. @NEILROBERTSON-ws7ze on June 15, 2025 at 2:33 am

you lost me at pay wall

  32. @mandurphy23 on June 15, 2025 at 2:33 am

The subscription makes it a non-starter for me. There’s so much competition in this space now that I don’t see a compelling reason to go with this one over that one. But we’re in what we’re in and they’re never going backwards with this subscription nonsense, so whatever. I used Whoop for 6 months and enjoyed it a lot, but my Samsung Watch6 does all of this for a 1-time upfront fee that I can trade devices in to offset the cost. Fitbit is a big name, but there are so many other big names in this space, now. Verdict: this would have been an instant buy from me at <$200 but knowing that I have to pay $120/year to view analytics that I’m paying to upload to their servers anyway… yea f that.

  33. @emmamchugh9788 on June 15, 2025 at 2:35 am

I recently got it and it so cool so far, I really love the newest Map, Calm, Wallet and Excerise features but I am really disappointed by the YouTube Music feature, I only use iMusic and that feature would’ve been really handy but the fact it only does YouTube Music isn’t fair especially some of my friends are on Spotify.

Plus the star is such an upgrade as when I had a Fitbit Luxe, the loose strap should catch my hair when I tie it but Chare 6 is so much better cause even when loose I can’t lose it or fall off (added bonus it also anti theft, no pick pocket would take the watch).

Aside from the YouTube Music, I seriously love it ❤

  34. @ognjenvlahovic3195 on June 15, 2025 at 2:36 am

Just buy Huawei watch. Battery 7 days or more. Very elegant

  35. @beardedgoat211 on June 15, 2025 at 2:39 am

What about the awful gps accuracy what then makes steps distance and other things inaccurate

  36. @cathteebay4834 on June 15, 2025 at 2:39 am

I have my first Fitbit for 5 years and it did not skip beat until it died. Well worth the money. I am on my second charge 5 after the first one had an overheating battery and shut down completely. Fitbit did send me another but to be honest I have had nothing but trouble with it. I have had this unit for almost one year and it has been nothing but glitchy. I cannot even access my data or change anything, does not track anything reset reset reset.. I am now looking to purchase another but the ‘5’ has left such a bad taste I am worried about the Fitbit 6 being the same crock of garbage.

  37. @unrankedmoe on June 15, 2025 at 2:40 am

the cons are unbelievably trash deal breaker

  38. @JerryLee-dx3bh on June 15, 2025 at 2:40 am

    What cap are u wearing?

  39. @curlyboy5540 on June 15, 2025 at 2:40 am

I am Fitbit user since 2015. This year I needed to replace my old Versa 2. Thought about other brands but there really is not so much options if you need a good health tracker and want to save some money from buying Apple watch or Garmin so I ended with Charge 6 and so far so good for my needs.

  40. @TubeDupe on June 15, 2025 at 2:45 am

How long is the battery life with GPS switched on or off? Thank you.

  41. @LifeAccordingtoMaria on June 15, 2025 at 2:46 am

$129 right now through Amazon. I think the prices are definitely dropping.

  42. @CelestialBane-e7v on June 15, 2025 at 2:46 am

So much effort went into this, amazing!

  43. @pg8524 on June 15, 2025 at 2:49 am

Fitbit Charge use to count the floors climbed. Not anymore.

  44. @saikatnextd on June 15, 2025 at 2:49 am

@mike what would you suggest today Apple Watch or Fitbit ?? I don’t know if Google is sunsetting the fitbits !!

  45. @andrewkowalski1173 on June 15, 2025 at 2:49 am

Every is fine, I have a problem with charging, Charger doesn’t work. Please your show from the beginning. Charging Thanks

  46. @cyliemyrus on June 15, 2025 at 2:50 am

That paywall was literally the only thing stopping me from getting it. If i’m spending $160 for basic things, I’d rather just fork over the extra amount for a Garmin watch or any other smart watch.

  47. @fireflymelody on June 15, 2025 at 2:51 am

I don’t have to pay for Fitbit Premium. Its shows my sleep schedule and in much more detail than Apple watch.

  48. @TubeDupe on June 15, 2025 at 2:51 am

Too bad you’re ignoring the ECG as this is the smart band’s killer feature.

  49. @LOGOASSASSIN on June 15, 2025 at 2:54 am

First thing I need to know, does it work with iphone?

  50. @raenedaez on June 15, 2025 at 2:55 am

Thanks for the detailed review. My Charge 4 is just now failing, and I didn’t know whether I should take this opportunity to consider other health trackers. I have been with Fitbit since Charge 2, and I really do want to stick around for as long as possible before Google digests it whole eventually. This review has helped me decide to stay a little longer.
