This has been one of the biggest surprises when it comes to building my home gym. I had seen the X3 bar and decided to try and make my own as the current one is over $500! This bar costs far less with the bands and platform, and can achieve the same results.
Take a look and see how the INNSTAR resistance bands bar performed after the first 30 days. I am very excited to keep testing and see how things go. It has quickly made its way into my regular workout programming alongside my loop resistance bands and platform. Be fit, game on!

Anyone else find the framing unsettling? That close to the face and the face itself not being centered but more to the top? Or am I just being autistic? Other than that, i got the information that i was in search of thanks to this vid. Thanks mate.
does this bar come with anti chafing gel?
Much shorter, then your hands would rub your legs.
The XBar is better because it’s bent like a curl bar and is easier to work with.
I have that same bar I’m gonna cut it down to about 28 in. and also since I’m a welder I’m gonna weld the triangular link so they don’t move inward .
after days of researching the 3X and X bar and other systems I decided to purchase your set up. I would like to see you actually demonstrate how you set up the bands with the bar and under the platform..im sure it’s pretty straightforward but just wondering if you had any pointers etc…thanks!
It’s called an easy bar because it’s the easiest way of smashing the bedroom door.
Tip for chest press, tie a knot in the middle of the band to increase tension at the beginning of the movement. It actually works out so that there is a flat side to the knot which you put against your back. A little bit more difficult to get into the movement but well worth it for the more meaningful tension at the beginning.
I use a similar bar sometimes…the brand I use is a “bionic bar”…good gauge steel and it it is collapsible and screws together in the middle with a looooong thread to eliminate snapping ……I use very heavy duty bands…..and yes i added bigger upgraded carabiners……more suitable for rock climbing with snap locks
How exactly would you adjust pounds of resistance? Is it like a ballpark of switching bands?
Is this promotional?
I don’t like tha is too wide, they don’t have a shorter version
54.90 looks a steal now, considering the pandemic allowed home-gym equipment companies to ramp up the prices. The UK equivalent of this, called the EZBAR, is around $200!!
Thanks I like it
What is the maximum lb weight you can dead lift with that set up?
What do you think of the EzBar from EzToned?
I would make this in a sec lol 50$lol sucker
How much does it weigh man?
Question…would you prefer a 22” long bar…or would you rather stick with the 36” long bar?
Seems like quite the jump there, but just asking because I’m ready to purchase one. Thanks!
where did you get the platform at?
Great review. Just what I was looking for. Did you order the M10 or M12 quick links?
Bought your system..blown away how out of breathe i am
Could I just attach a band to my dumbbell handles? Would that work just as well?
Does it have the same resistance?
So are the links that come with the INNStar now not good enough that show availabile?
@Gamerbody This may be old I did not see it in the comments because of how long you’ve had this video up. The triangle rings that you’re using has a nut that can screw up to close the triangle onto the loops of the bar. That way you don’t have to worry about the triangle or the bands coming off while you’re doing exercises are changing positions.
that xbar is too expensive!!!!
Dasking has a 22.44 inch bar you might want to look into since you mentioned you were looking for a shorter bar
I snapped a band today with overhead press, Im 6,2 tall, should just forget about this lift with bands?
Which is better resistance band or tube?
I paid 20 for mine.
mangled grammar -" make your back a big priority of getting hurt…!@# " what does that even mean ?
SUNPOW VS UNDERSUN ? 😀 and INNSTAR BAR VS HOMEPROGYM BAR both looks cool , but with HOMEPRO i dunno if the have 360 retable loops at the end , but they also offer the great carabiners with them haha 🙂 cool vid my brother ….
I prefer something like a traditional weight set with tube bands, get both weight and resistance at once, been building bigger and well defined muscle using that combo.
Easy free alternative: take a dowel & pretend it’s the weight/resistance you want. When Mr. Olympia flex on stage. They have no weights. They flex. You can do the same with movement, flex to the tension you like. Ex: pretend the bar weights 25lbs & curl it. Repeat.
A question,so I wanna start working out with bands, but my question is,if the band is lets say a 40lbs band, does it start at 40 when pulling,or does it go to 40 when stretched?also my bar I made them from pipe,I did it to my shoulder width, and made attatchements to extended if wanting
a couple of years ago i started using bands in addition with my weights etc.. i made a few bars using wood, steel pipe and pvc… after watching this i may add the plastic plateform and tri angle quick links… i did make a nice wood plateform, but maybe this plastic one is better… thanks for sharing… ps i already have had 3 big bands snap… maybe they are all not of same quality… i really was shocked they broke so soon since they seemed very good… but who knows…thanks for sharing
i wanted to buy it but i saw a lot of videos people getting smacked in the face by this bar
Ok just get some old 2×4 bam sold base. A metal tube and use bungee cords you don’t need to buy some over priced cheap gimmick you have what you need at home.
I love it man I just ordered it from amazon such a great pump and a good feeling!!!! I purchased the other accessories to do flys triceps curls I did not know you can use other bands with this.
Thanks for this review and the earlier reviews. Which of the two bands (SunPow vs. UnderSun) do you feel works best with the bar? Great content, keep it up!
Is the bar detachable or fixed?
Love the Goku muscle anatomy poster
Can you bench press with this setup or it’s to long?
Hey man, thanks for the awesome setup. How are you feeling about this set up at this point? Still use it? I have had decent results but find myself stacking lots of bands on the bar to progress in my loading. I have been working with the setup for a few months and have just broken the undersun heavy and also the extra heavy at this point 😫
What about triceps
When you did the chest press, how did you attach it to the door frame? Also in terms of a workout of that vs an actual bench press, do you feel it competes? Not for building mass, but toning and looking fitter?
Is this a regular step or does it have any particular features to use combined with bands?
I would primarily use this for squats and deadlifts. I regularly deadlift around 140kg for 5 reps can it give that much resistance? And at the bottom of the lift not as much resistance? Would you use this as a supplement to regular weight training and not a replacement? Thanks bro, I’ve just never used resistance bands before.
How did you build your muscle at home? Is just dumbbells
