Creatine Before & After – 13 Mistakes You SHOULD NEVER MAKE When Taking CREATINE 😱⚠️💪🔥
Creatine is one of the most effective supplements when it comes to gaining muscle mass; however, if you make any of the 13 most common mistakes that most people tend to make without even realizing it, unfortunately, it won’t have the same effect, and worse, it could even cause problems for your body. So, stay tuned until the end because I’m sure you have no idea how common mistake number seven is.

Mistake number 13: taking creatine on an empty stomach. When you take creatine without eating, it can cause gastrointestinal discomfort like nausea or stomach pain. That happens because, on an empty stomach, the stomach lining is unprotected, and creatine can irritate it. To avoid these problems, it’s recommended to take creatine after a meal, especially one that contains carbs. Carbs help increase insulin levels in the blood, which in turn can improve creatine absorption by muscle cells. In other words, if you take creatine on an empty stomach, you’re missing out on the supplement’s full potential and wasting part of the money you invested in it. The best carbs to consume with creatine are the ones that are digested and absorbed quickly, like fruits, fruit juices, white bread, or potatoes. These foods quickly raise blood glucose and insulin levels, making it easier for your body to absorb the creatine.

Mistake number 12: not increasing your water intake when starting creatine. This topic is really important, so pay close attention. When taking creatine, staying well hydrated is crucial, and that’s not just a vague piece of advice. Creatine works by increasing the availability of phosphocreatine in the muscles, which helps with the rapid production of ATP, the main source of cellular energy. However, this metabolic process can increase the body’s demand for water. If you’re not drinking enough water, some problems may arise. Lack of water can lead to dehydration, especially during intense workouts when the body loses water through sweat. Creatine can increase water retention inside muscle cells, which is beneficial for physical performance, but it also means the body needs more water to maintain proper fluid and electrolyte balance. On top of that, creatine is metabolized by the kidneys and excreted in urine; not drinking enough water could potentially raise the risk of kidney problems, although that’s rare with normal doses of creatine and proper hydration.

If you’re over sixty five it’s not a bad idea to supplement creatine, unless you’ve the aforementioned health issues, to slow sarcopenia and senility.

A few weeks ago, I was chatting with a friend about how manifesting never seemed to work for me. I’d tried so many methods but still felt stuck. We heard about a book called Manifest and Receive by Eva Hartley on a podcast, and I was hesitant at first. But after reading just a few chapters, I realized how much I was missing. Eva’s approach is so different from anything I’ve ever tried. It’s not just about thinking positive, it’s about aligning with real-world actions that bring your desires into reality. Now, I’ve manifested opportunities I never imagined possible, and my mindset has shifted completely. If you’re frustrated like I was, don’t hesitate. Read this book. It will change everything ❤

I’m 68yrs old and have been taking creatine about 3 months now after my 35yr old son suggested it, so after I checked up on all side effects with other supplements and medication I’m on (and already knew my blood lab work shows it’s low) I said OK. I’m not sure it actually helped my strength gain in itself since I’ve worked out regularly for 20yrs., because it forced me to the weight machine more each week to get the best out of 5mg. taken daily. What I did NOT expect to lose, besides the 5 lbs, of my 150 normal weight, was my longer hair in front of a full head of it. I noticed last Wednesday how it seemed to be thinning out, and today Friday, confirmed it. So now, 3 months after this "gain of function research", it’s obvious my hair follicles are clogging up and contrary to your research, I can say personally, I’m DONE with Creatine! Consistent exercise is where it’s safe, and always put up your guard when lately we’ve seen alot of push to take a pill for everything, including your green salad. It’s true, Creatine does cause hair loss, regardless of the claims "there are no proven SCIENTIFIC tests to confirm it…" and where have we heard THAT before.

What’s with the spam book reviews? If this wasn’t AI berated those comments would be deleted and spammers blocked. Geez. I’ll try creatine. I tried it 20 years ago and it made me pee urgently all day. Not a comfortable experience. Happened several times even when protien powders had it added. I could tell almost instantly. Anybody else have that effect?

  34. @BoiyoubetterChill on August 12, 2025 at 7:38 am

I never take creatine at night. That stuff keeps me up all night! But i will stop drinking it on an empty stomach and test the effects, I dont get nauseated or anything I like drinking it with an empty stomach before exercising, i cannot exercise with food in my stomachI even drink water on an empty stomach. i dont do any post workout supplements, just strictly creatine every and at least 2300 calories a day. Creatine fruit juices are not a bad idea. Might make some creatine ice cubes to go with that, lol

I do 10g a day. 5 in morning after i train and another 5 before bed. Mixed or dry scooping. For me taking 5g does absolutely nothing. The 10 grams for me really results in drastic strength increase. Naked or Ekkovision creatine is my go to.

If you’re reading this right now, I just want to say; I’m rooting for you. We’re strangers, but that doesn’t mean I don’t care. I know what it’s like to feel like you’re pushing a boulder uphill. I felt that way until I picked up Manifest and Receive by Eva Hartley. I can’t explain it perfectly, but it changed my whole perspective. Since then, things have been flowing—money, peace, confidence. Maybe this is your moment too. Stay open. Wishing you more than you ever imagined. 💫💰
