I bought these for cycling but use them for a much wider range of uses due to the comfort. I agree on bass but they are good for calls, audio books and can wear all day and don’t irritate my ears like most headphones or ear buds do.

  2. @Boogra on June 22, 2025 at 2:50 am

Shokz is a badass company, too. They stand behind their products 100% in my opinion. I own three sets of them – two for home, and the OpenRun Pro2 for taking calls while I fish.

  3. @Thetime1992 on June 22, 2025 at 2:50 am

    I love em!

  4. @DD-qi6eo on June 22, 2025 at 2:50 am

You know, I was interested before this review, after this review I want to get the water proof headphones so I can vibe underwater.

  6. @markleewillis9920 on June 22, 2025 at 2:55 am

Do the buttons on them press in? I have OCD and would worry that I couldn’t clean them properly if they did as the germs would pass into the inside when the button is pressed.

  7. @palles1972 on June 22, 2025 at 2:55 am

Use Alpine MusicSafe Pro Ørepropper (Clear)

  8. @highdefinitioninstallation281 on June 22, 2025 at 2:55 am

Wondering how well these would work with wearing a motorcycle helmet

  9. @melodyannduke1849 on June 22, 2025 at 2:56 am

Bone conduction works great with people that has trouble hearing

  10. @emrahlimon6145 on June 22, 2025 at 2:56 am

i sell them wholesale if anyone interested in large quantity

  11. @FabianWinkler on June 22, 2025 at 2:57 am

I am using the Shokz Open Run Pro (1st generation) since two years now. The mains reason I bought them wa, I want to hears whats happening around me. Other headphones just block the outside world. That is quite bad in the city with all the traffic around.

  12. @lucasbarrozo9474 on June 22, 2025 at 2:58 am

What about the Microphone in loud environment? Does anyone had the experience? If you answer a call using the phone in a loud environment, is the sound clear in the other side? That would be a key for me taking a decision because of my work environment. Looking for a headset that I can listen and also answer a call while working on loud.

  13. @hooha1939 on June 22, 2025 at 2:58 am

I had the open run and I agreed with u bout the sound volume and quality. But again it’s mainly for sport activities, u be running, cycling, swimming or anything else, nobody gonna notice what u r listening to.. still depends on personal liking

  14. @Texasmade76 on June 22, 2025 at 2:59 am

Bro, your video was so in depth and full of enthusiasm. But what about phone calls? What does it sound like?😢

  15. @slashbenji on June 22, 2025 at 3:00 am

This helped out so much. I’m a truck driver but I don’t want to look like a truck driver with that giant McDonald’s drive thru microphone headset. Company policy that we cannot wear earbuds to answer calls or listen to podcasts while driving anymore so I’m hoping I can use these as a loophole for that. Really hoping the audio quality is good enough.

  16. @razorree on June 22, 2025 at 3:02 am

how do they work with high wind (on a bike etc.) ?

  17. @avikarpik on June 22, 2025 at 3:03 am

I’m in full ear headphones for many hours a day, for work and for gaming/entertainment. I get sweaty ears and this can’t be good for my skin in ears (volume is no problem, I listen on 5-10%). I can’t listen to sounds from free standing speakers OR from in ear headphones as my misophonia triggers. I even watch tv with headset, and I live alone so it’s not like someone else would be bothered. And let’s not talk about people playing music from phones on public transport. So I am considering those, but I can’t figure out if they’ll feel like free standing speakers/in-ears or like full ear headphones. Hmmm.

  18. @asimchillify on June 22, 2025 at 3:04 am

I get my ears professionally cleared. I used to use airpods, but its been said to be very bad for our ears and you srent really supoosed to put anything in your ears

  19. @nas3091 on June 22, 2025 at 3:05 am

I’ve been using LG earbuds in my left ear for 8 years, and now my hearing has worsened.
Try to avoid using them—especially plug-in headphones.

I just thought sharing because you won’t hear better for the rest of your life unless you use hearing aids

  20. @ryanstratton5895 on June 22, 2025 at 3:06 am

Open Pro 2 aren’t even bone conduction unless you change them to bone conduction in the app settings but if you’re doing that you might as well use the smaller previous version.

  21. @harry1583 on June 22, 2025 at 3:08 am

One question. Do they fit well with glasses on?

  22. @MrStrange1984 on June 22, 2025 at 3:13 am

Would be cool if they ever made these type of headphones with good bass and long battery time for us streamers that wants open headphones so we easily can hear ourselves talk while streaming 🙂 Good video btw!

  23. @docriley79 on June 22, 2025 at 3:16 am

Bruh thank you! I noticed that everytime I went underwater they cut off! That’s cause I have to down load the music! Thank you for that!

  24. @killick8086 on June 22, 2025 at 3:16 am

i just received a pair of it for my birthday…i could not believe it 😮… there is something in the confort and audio experience they provide that simply you will not remove them for the entire day… im not sure why no one speaks about this technology but its a game changer for earphones…

  25. @muratakcan1299 on June 22, 2025 at 3:17 am

A great video for audiophiles, ty !
And thank God you’re not another incomprehensible Indian !

  26. @robhingston on June 22, 2025 at 3:19 am

Yes, but you got better chance to keep your ears with these ..
Putting anything in your ears is not good, especially long-term

  27. @seanmaher2987 on June 22, 2025 at 3:19 am

    Good for ASMR in bed.

  28. @Brijeshivam on June 22, 2025 at 3:19 am

I bought open run pro 2 and I am satisfied with its sound quality, bass and volume.

  29. @Measuretwicelad on June 22, 2025 at 3:19 am

I’m on my second pair of Shokz, first pair after a year stopped accepting a charge, replaced under warranty with the Open Run model, 27 months later still functional. I work in a fixed crushing plant and operating earthmoving machinery, with class 5 in ear plugs the bass massively improves and the battery life increases by at least 25% due to the volume increasing hence lowering it which saves battery life. I’ll be upgrading to the Open Run Pro later this year. Oh and my employer has no safety concerns as I can still communicate with team members, two way radios etc. 😎👍🇦🇺

  30. @TravelWithPreston on June 22, 2025 at 3:24 am

How are they for sprints or races? Do they stay in place running at speed?

  31. @miguels.1569 on June 22, 2025 at 3:26 am

Sweet, I’ve been looking for a Shokz running star. Thanks!

  32. @kristopherjazz9295 on June 22, 2025 at 3:29 am

I have the openrun shockz and was listening to this video while wearing them hahah. At first I didn’t appreciate them because of the sound quality but I learned to appreciate them when I go for my walks around my neighborhood.. I have a question about the open swim shockz. You said you had to download the songs onto the device? Does it have memory storage? How does that work?

  33. @captain7290 on June 22, 2025 at 3:29 am

This is NOT new teck. Pilots and some special forces found them life saving ‘cuz you could still HEAR ambient sound while still using them. A EXCELLENT side benefit.

  34. @trailnut6002 on June 22, 2025 at 3:30 am

I have the swims and the pros, and the sound on the swims are much worse especially at higher volumes. I only use the swims for swimming

  35. @RobertHyett on June 22, 2025 at 3:31 am

Has anyone had problems arise with not charging?

  36. @PhillyFail on June 22, 2025 at 3:35 am

I got them because they’re the only type my job allows

  37. @Coolspot80 on June 22, 2025 at 3:35 am

UK Athletic events (5k, 10, half and full marathons etc) dont allow in or over ear headphones

  38. @JetJockey87 on June 22, 2025 at 3:35 am

Here is an absolutely mind breaking experience.

Full foam expanding ear plugs (the safety ones) in your ears. Shokz on. Use microphone app. You have now gated what you hear. You can use beamforming microphones to select specific sources to listen to, you can tune the noisefloor to truly eliminate external sounds like HVAC and turbine shear. Amazing.

I knew that hill looked familiar. Fellow Spring Hill guy here. Cheers!

  40. @devilik3692 on June 22, 2025 at 3:38 am

    how about suunto aqua?

  41. @CalvinSantos-qw7st on June 22, 2025 at 3:39 am

    Or just get AirPods

  42. @andreasepp7340 on June 22, 2025 at 3:39 am

  43. @Villa-gy1cg on June 22, 2025 at 3:39 am

Would any of these be robust enough for sauna

  44. @SonicVibe on June 22, 2025 at 3:42 am

    I love these headphones 🎧 ❤

  45. @connerlilley3057 on June 22, 2025 at 3:44 am

    You run a lot? Lololol

  46. @VictorytYuen on June 22, 2025 at 3:45 am

Shokz is a Chinese co., so whatever you hear, CCP hear.

  47. @dogmommycubed on June 22, 2025 at 3:48 am

Thanks for the review! I don’t like in-the-ear buds. So I have purchased a couple different open ear type. I bought the oladance buds, and shokz 3 years ago. Both work great still. Now that they offer a mini band, I’ll have to get those. The standard size is too big for wearing under a jacket hood.

  48. @mSantsnj on June 22, 2025 at 3:48 am

I got to a jobsite and everyyyyyyone had these + ear protection in and one of the guys told me to try them out before and after I had in ear protection.. WILD!

Still, eventually some of the higher ups started saying people can’t have these in their ears lol.. annoying!

Anyway, these are cool, might consider these when they get even better!

  49. @ClubmanGT1971 on June 22, 2025 at 3:49 am

Incredible tech. I have the Open Runs and just bought the Pro 2’s as well. Definitely better sound but that’s not my priority when running. Love the battery life. So simple to use. Have my true earbuds for better sound.
