After some weeks of straight carnivore, I noticed I donโt need extra electrolytes. Looks like my body is getting all electrolytes it needs from the food I eat.
I’ve been drinking water for the last 20 some years and trust me the water get old element that I use has flavor and I’m going to keep using it I’m on the meat diet 6 days strong
Re-Lyte when it’s hitting 95 degrees and I am on mile 20 on the bike trail. It’s the ONLY way I can make it. I am 66 and have logged over 4000 miles on my bike trail (NO CARS) and loving it.

I will buy any electrolytes product sugar free, switching from Carnivore Diet to Modified Targeted Keto diet with High Protein diet and medium sized Carb diet only fruit strawberries and blueberry and raspberries and pineapple and pears , Vegetables greens and carrots and beans portion size fruits and vegetables, I don’t eat T steak or rib steak, or eating stick’s of butter, I just Chicken and Turkey, Fish, Tuna, cat fish , salmon, flounder, transition to my new diet was very good move for me, High Protein, high fat, high fiber, I feel like sports athlete used carbohydrates, Im focus not ketosis and just eat until you are full intermittent fasting, 90 days since I’m still eating animal protein adding back carbohydrates that worked with my metabolism.
from the time of the Romans through the 19th century, people have used vinegar of varying flavors mixed into their water with a pinch of salt. Some use honey to sweeten and maybe a handful of herbs but that’s it.
The problem with sweeteners is the insulin response you get and without actual ingestion of glucose you get a dip in blood sugar and stress your pancreas.
Can you Get too much electrolytes???

I take 1 electrolyte pkt daily…
Truth it is tuff though, i grew up on coke, there was no water in the fridge… Make your own tea, and ween yourself off the sweetness… That’s the toughest sweet to break

As is the case with pretty much ALL nutrients, the RDI’s mean nothing (IMHO) as they were never researched on (in our case) a carnivore / animal based existence. If I’m supposed to be getting 4700mg of potassium daily, I’m stuffed. Because on carnivore, I strictly cannot eat ENOUGH of the meat, fish etc. foods to cover the bases. Folks wolfing down 500grams/1 lb of ground beef, 5 sausages, 6 rashers of bacon, 6 eggs and a stick of butter may hit the target, but I’m having to add about 500mg through supplements just to get myself to around 2000mg/day. Maybe we (carnivores) don’t need 4700mg — it would be nice to see some science! โค
…and the only reason 8 year old’s, want something sweet, is they have been conditioned from earlier, to think of sweet as being a treat instead of just another flavor profile. It is all in the training.

If you drink lots of water , tea , coffee , you lose electrolytes in the urine . Trace amounts in food won’t cut it . LMNT orange is my favorite .
