Wrong.  A simple search on the internet will tell you that muscle is only made up of 1 – 2% glycogen/glucose.  Try again.

But I thought if you if you don’t use your carbohydrates as fuel they will just be stored as fat and keep your blood sugar elevated unless you have some healthy fats with them

1:05 anyone thats done keto knows this. Once you deplete your body of glucose you will lose a good amount of mass before you start burning fat due to low water retention. I tell people they should watch an MMA fighter in camp, on the scale, and on fight night. This why body builders will also cut weight to maximize muscle definition but, not necessarily mass for a show. When fighters lose water to quickly they dont even look half as healthy or strong as they do win properly hydrated. Even on fight night after theyve rehydrated they will look bloated instead of cut because their body can only store so much water and glucose in the course of a day.

I’m 62 and need to build / maintain muscle mass. I have neuro-endocrine weakness and have already had issues with muscles. I will watch your videos. Watching in Australia. 💛💚🙌

  16. @StarvingMyselfToLIFE on July 27, 2025 at 5:54 am

I wonder why no other species has to build muscle? I don’t see elephants, gorillas, lions, whales or hawks lifting weights or working out.

I’m so grateful I found this video! Wow. Thank you so much for sharing this information and your experience.

Weight lifting is anabolic. Youll build muscle recovering which moves you bmr up

  19. @David__________ on July 27, 2025 at 5:56 am

So i guess gaining muscle eating 80/10/10 diet is impossible? 😅

  20. @alexpfleger5539 on July 27, 2025 at 5:57 am

    So what are your actual macros? 90/5/5? 80/10/10? 70/15/15? 60/25/15? That wasn’t clear…

Most vegans have very thin hair or are completely bald. The only exception is Lenny Kravitz. I appreciate the information but I take it with a grain of salt. A balance diet which includes all food groups is what I follow. I make sure to consume grass fed organ meats and organic and pasture raised animal products and organic plant foods.

After 50 particularly one needs to eat nutrient dense foods, meaning a small amount containing nutrients to help the body thrive. The vegan diet is not for most people. However, I appreciate the information.

  28. @ArjunaJackson on July 27, 2025 at 6:14 am

high fruit diets have been debunked years ago. Most fruit has been altered by humans eg every cavendish banana is a clone and is entirely man-made, like the chihuahua is to the wolf. You think it’s healthy basing a diet on these types of foods?

  29. @José-Cuba-s2s on July 27, 2025 at 6:15 am

Thank you im doing nativity fast and can’t eat animal products ❤☦️

  30. @rinkuhero on July 27, 2025 at 6:15 am

how are you suggesting legumes as a raw vegan? do you eat the beans raw? aren’t some beans poisonous when raw, like kidney beans? same thing with the oats and rice, do you eat the rice and oats raw, no cooking?

  31. @iammorganalexis on July 27, 2025 at 6:16 am

This was awesome thank you for sharing your wisdom 🙌🏽

  32. @dragonchr15 on July 27, 2025 at 6:17 am

i recall reading that 1 pound of muscle is only around 100g of lean tissue, ie protein, and the rest is water and carbohydrate.

mainstream fitness advice tells bodybuilders to ear 1 g of protein per pound of bodyweight, so a 150 pound guy would eat 150g of protein per day.

it is also accepted by mainstream fitness that as a rule, one can only build a pound of muscle per month without the use of steroids, provided nutrition, sleep, progressive overload is on point.

that does not math with me because if that 150 pound dude eats 150g of protein PER DAY, that is 4,500g of protein per month! if a pound of muscle is only 100g, where is the other 4,400g going?

not for muscle building. probably being converted to ketones or whatever

that alone should get people to scratch their heads about the insane amounts of protein the fitness and supplement industry want people to consume

  33. @hoaxbusterhodler9676 on July 27, 2025 at 6:19 am

Watch frommeathead to meatless guys. He is even bigger like 230lbs on a raw food diet! Its obviously about getting in enough calories a surpluss with training. In short.

  34. @lidorshalom_ on July 27, 2025 at 6:19 am

What if I’m over weight by 50 pounds and full time breastfeeding?

Can you give me an example of what I should eat in a day?

  37. @stephdee3811 on July 27, 2025 at 6:23 am

THIS was SOOOOOO SUCCINT AND CLEAR, I DON’T know where to start. I am doing MOST of THIS but this SOLIDIFIES A LOT, THANKS ✊🏾💪🏾✊🏾💪🏾

  38. @gorickrealty on July 27, 2025 at 6:24 am

@3:45 You’re mentioning legumes, rice & oats but these need to be cooked in order to be consumed. Do you soak/dehydate these to consume them??? Thanks.

  39. @cashshinobi on July 27, 2025 at 6:24 am

I want to build muscle without taking protein powder or eating processed food

  40. @youngblackandvegan on July 27, 2025 at 6:26 am

    Great video

  41. @christpusha on July 27, 2025 at 6:26 am

This is completely false guys. (Im a body builder/fitness and conditioning coach) Drinking more water does not help u build more muscle. Yes it will help u LOOK FULLER but with looking full you comprises definition.
Carbs are used for energy not building muscles. Eating barely any protein WILL NOT help you build muscle.

If he had said sleep and intense strength training are 2 things more important than protein i could of understood. But water and carbs?? Exit video

  42. @lookoutlordy on July 27, 2025 at 6:26 am

    It’s the science for me

  43. @ThatMagaLife on July 27, 2025 at 6:27 am

Never done all raw, but a high carb, moderate protein and very low fat diet made me shredded, strong, and muscular.

  44. @TheDjed19 on July 27, 2025 at 6:28 am

Thoughts on protein shakes, do you recommend any brands.

  45. @chris-fi6hy on July 27, 2025 at 6:31 am

What i got from this video is that if i eat mainly apples all day i can gain muscle???

  46. @eternalmonkey2 on July 27, 2025 at 6:32 am

    4:05 big. thanks

  47. @Kompot01 on July 27, 2025 at 6:32 am

if we are water 75% then protein is less then 25% there are bones and fat

  48. @vinaytyagi7580 on July 27, 2025 at 6:32 am

    Just great 👍❤❤❤

  49. @JulianDreamsx on July 27, 2025 at 6:33 am

what about cramping (shins) from eating (too many) fruit ? happens mostly while sleeping then. and its not gigantic amoubt of fruit. edit: NOT as much for a glycogen overload. just about 250g in carbs mostly sugar, very ripe and or dried fruit.

  50. @fegjb3215 on July 27, 2025 at 6:35 am

People forget that men need on average 3,600 mg of potassium a day
