BCAA’s are pretty much worthless and a waste of money if you are taking in enough protein. The Dr. won’t tell you that. He cares more about selling product.

Im new to this and ignorant to a lot of these supplements so any info in response woukd be greatky appreciated. First, shoukd you take BCCAAs as both a pre workout and also after as a post workout ? How many times a day should you be taking BCCAAs? Second, can you and shoukd you mix the bccaas with creatine powder and protein powder all together jn one drink ? Can you also mix all of those with glutamine powder or is that wrong and bad for you ? Just trying to figure out how and when to take all of these and if its best to mix all together or separate?

I take bcaa when I wake up early in the morning then I take a scoop of pre workout at noon then take another scoop of pre workout before my work out then another scoop of bcaa after while eating high protein low calories meals

This is complete bullshit. He’s just pushing this stuff because he sells it. BCAAs are all market hype. H just eat enough protein and take some whey and you’ll be covered. Don’t waste your money on this shit.

If you eat enough protein, BCAA’s are just a waste of money.

Scientific studies on BCAAs’ effectiveness are mixed. There’s no clear-cut evidence that they outperform regular protein sources.

BCAAs promise muscle gains, but they often fall short. They’re costly, with limited scientific backing, and you can get these amino acids from real food at a lower price.

Plus, they miss out on essential amino acids. Invest in whole proteins for better results. 💪🥚🍗 #BCAAReality #SaveYourMoney

  27. @buyadriver on June 30, 2025 at 4:21 am

So is this bad info or are the other guys wrong? Other sources say bcaas prevent muscle protein breakdown however they do NOT cause muscle protein synthesis. To cause synthesis all 9 essential amino acids are required and branch chain amino acids do not contain them all. So from my understanding if you want growth then take EAAs. If you want to prevent/slow breakdown then BCAAs will do the trick. However if you are eating enough protein ( roughly 1 ounce per pound of your goal weight) you don’t need an amino acid supplement because they are naturally found in protein.
