I think it’s very expensive and unaffordable.

LMNT: Uses Maltrodextrin as a binding agent in their flavored packets:
Maltodextrin can have several potential health risks, including:
    Blood sugar spikes
Maltodextrin has a higher glycemic index (GI) than table sugar, which means it can cause blood sugar to spike shortly after eating. This can lead to a spike in insulin, a hormone that helps regulate blood sugar levels.
    Gut bacteria balance
Maltodextrin can reduce the number of good bacteria and increase the number of harmful bacteria in your gut. This can lead to intestinal damage and increase the risk of inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Maltodextrin can also suppress the growth of probiotics, which are important for immune system function.

During my off seasons (winter) I find I’m more thirsty but that may be because it’s really dry and bitter cold. I find that just plain water is fine. During warmer months when I’m running regularly and weight training I find that I need a little something extra due to all the sweating. I’ve turned to electrolyte mixes in the past but I get sick of them. I usually just up my snacking game and increase water intake and that seems to fix most of my problems. I am a sucker for good marketing though lol!

1 gram of salt is so tiny….weigh out a gram on your scale…a fraction of a teaspoon…especially if you work hard, sweat hard

WARNING WARNING!! LMNT is a SCAM !!! Google it !!!
You can make your own electrolyte mix for just Pennies

I have POTS and the cardiologist suggests drinking 3000 – 4000 mg of sodium of day. LMNT puts a formula on their website for those who would like to make it themselves. You can tailor it to your own needs based on your labs and a convo with your doctor. I add citric acid and lemonade to cover the salty flavor. It is definitely a little tart. Making it myself is a lot cheaper!

I started with the 20 buck pak with samples LMNT and decided to order the big box and I clearly stated No subscription but today I got another box and I still have 3/4 of the first box. At 135 bucks a box I cannot afford more of the LMNT paks. CAREFUL FOLKS!

Watch out for oxalates in those plants.

How’s that blood pressure? with that HIGH SALT on top of the ‘other’ salts included in everyday food.

  13. @LunaLoveBad6969 on March 11, 2025 at 6:10 pm

As someone with dysautonomia I just placed my first order with LMNT and hope it goes well.. I get weekly IV infusions and want to give my arms a break from all the poking 😣 hoping this works well for me and gives the same results as the IV does. Thanks for making this in depth video! 🙏🏼

Just bought some because one of my medication is really really dehydrating no matter how much I drink 😒 and the watermelon flavor is the only one I found that doesn’t have citric acid (which makes me process my medication too quickly). I’m still getting adjusted to the taste but I’m hoping it helps!

  15. @sarys73 on March 11, 2025 at 6:12 pm

1gm of salt is not a lot of salt. You need 4-6 grams per day. Unless you just sit around all day eating processed foods all day. That shit is loaded with sodium. But if you’re taking electrolyes you’re either working out, working outside, trying toget or stay healthy. And if you’re keto, you need that extra salt because very low carbs mean you’re pissing a lot of the salt out.

  16. @KTquiltsandsews on March 11, 2025 at 6:13 pm

Super helpful. Thank you very much for doing this video having a whole packet and water was just too much salt for me. I am going to try to have maybe even a fifth of a pack at a time to use them up.

  17. @jennifermaggio7784 on March 11, 2025 at 6:13 pm

I’m just trying it today. It is very salty. I had to add alot of water to it in order to dilute it a lot! So it makes me drink more water so that’s good! I do have a job where I sit down all day and I have been getting a lot of leg cramps at night.

  20. @michaelfalco6755 on March 11, 2025 at 6:14 pm

I’m no doctor, but I’m pretty sure your urine was darker because more water was being absorbed into your blood. Meaning it was actually hydrating you instead of going in and out

  21. @tatianastorchak4980 on March 11, 2025 at 6:15 pm

I bought it yesterday to try. Today after your video I put orange flavour pack in 1litre of cold water, drank just about 3/4 of glass, and in 10 minutes headache is gone! Wow, I didn’t know it will have such effect on me, but it did, and it tastes like a summer drink, not bad at all. Can not say anything else, but this “magic” impressed me, may be I didn’t have enough electrolytes, but I take magnesium every day, good dose, 500mg. Probably something about a balance of them

  22. @bg5827 on March 11, 2025 at 6:20 pm

Not a fan of it. Intermittent fasting , no change to paleo diet, only change was adding LMNT, I was bloated and looked pregnant

If you’re fasting . Sure Electrolytes may work. But if you’re eating.. then you’re also taping fuel from the food you’ve eaten .

  31. @lizkeith1356 on March 11, 2025 at 6:32 pm

NO MORE LMNT FOR ME. STOPPED MY WEIGHT LOSS. KICKED ME OUT OF KETOSIS. THEY LIED ABOUT THE AMOUNT OF MALTODEXTRIN IN SOME OF THEIR PACKETS. SAY NO TO ALL MALTODEXTRIN.

  33. @jessicaaguirre1755 on March 11, 2025 at 6:34 pm

Keep in mind that you don’t have to drink them all in water. The mango is good on chicken wings in place of salt. The chocolate ones I add to my protein powder

  34. @ilikehiking on March 11, 2025 at 6:36 pm

A lot of people are magnesium deficient which is why you see so many reviews that describe this product as life changing, it’s definitely worth supplementing magnesium. As for sodium/potassium, you shouldn’t need to supplement those as long as you make sure you don’t have a shit diet. Gotta keep these things in mind when you’re making breakfast/lunch/dinner and you won’t need to waste money on products like this, as products like these only really work when you’re doing something wrong.

  35. @traveler2370 on March 11, 2025 at 6:36 pm

I wonder what the benifits would be in an older person and not a young healthy guy like this. He feels good anyway so the 30 day experiment isnt that compelling to me. Im 65 and struggling with energy and i have stomach issues every morning. That makes it hard for me to get in a workout. And because my testosterone levels are down my muscles are shrinking and my fat is growing.

  38. @vincentjimenez8026 on March 11, 2025 at 6:42 pm

This comment probably wont go noticed, but I’ve been running long distances for awhile now. I usually just rely on water & liquid IV. I’m preparing for a trail run with some good elevation gains. I run 20 miles every weekend, but unfortunately for the last few months every time I hit 20 miles my legs start to cramp out. Also when I run flat surfaces I start to cramp out around 26 miles. Again that’s only with water & a single pack of liquid IV. I came across these at Whole Foods the other day & am wondering if it should or could possibly help me fight those aching cramps that pop up around that mile range.

I like getting electrolytes from coconut water

  47. @kimberlyobrien4677 on March 11, 2025 at 6:53 pm

Carnivore only here. But I do believe in electrolytes. I think everybody’s jumping on this and trying to say LMNT is a terrible thing now just because of this misstating, and not stating of the correct amount of maltodextron. The 400 mg is nothing when you consider that a teaspoon of sugar has 4,000 mg. And the truth is that LMNT does work and it does help people. Oh the big Pharm and the farting cow people or probably just loving all this because they want the carnivore and the keto people to stop getting healthier

  49. @CabanaD on March 11, 2025 at 6:57 pm

I take 1 packet daily and no question noticed differences between just adding a little salt to water. I have much better sleep, no cramping, and my mood is much better.
