My goal is to run slower😂
I have stopped running for 3 years now and I just started running again. I’m now in my 30’s and when you were a runner and you are starting again, your worst enemy is yourself. I feel frustrated that i cannot do my usual pace. I cannot run longer like before and in my frustration I always forget to check my pace to avoid injury. I almost had one last week so now I am trying to scold myself into accepting that i am not as young as before😂😂😂

    Seems to be everyone’s advice

  3. @leighannahelms7993 on April 5, 2025 at 8:44 pm

This is true. Even with working out if you do squats for example if you go slower your body will work more so you’ll get stronger

Im mostly a hybrid runner and i do sprints and sometimes with my dad i run a few kilometers and maybe 400 meters if were on the track this advice does not help alot because im more of a sprinter so this will work for endurance runners

    What’s the idea behind this?

  11. @Bryan-vm4fg on April 5, 2025 at 8:55 pm

Like how slow are we talking about? 12:30min mile? 13min/mile? For how long? Or how many miles?

  12. @universe8639 on April 5, 2025 at 8:56 pm

Z1-2 is only beneficial to increase volume and maintain higher volume without getting injured. if you’re only running an hour or 2 each week it’s not beneficial

What should we do when we are doing jogging.
When jogging, it’s important to follow these guidelines to maximize benefits and prevent injuries:

    Before Jogging:
Warm-Up: Do light stretching or dynamic exercises (e.g., leg swings, arm circles, or brisk walking) for 5–10 minutes.
Wear Proper Shoes: Use running shoes that provide good support and cushioning.
Stay Hydrated: Drink water before starting, especially if jogging in hot weather.
Plan Your Route: Choose a safe, well-lit path with minimal traffic.
    During Jogging:
Maintain Good Posture: Keep your back straight, shoulders relaxed, and arms swinging naturally.
Pace Yourself: Start slow and gradually increase speed; avoid overexertion.
Breathe Properly: Use deep, rhythmic breathing to prevent side stitches.
Stay Aware: Watch for obstacles, traffic, or other hazards, and be mindful of your surroundings.
Listen to Your Body: If you feel pain or extreme fatigue, slow down or stop.
    After Jogging:
Cool Down: Walk for a few minutes to gradually bring your heart rate down.
Stretch: Focus on your legs, hips, and back to prevent stiffness.
Rehydrate & Refuel: Drink water and eat a light snack (e.g., banana, yogurt, or protein bar) to help muscle recovery.
Track Progress: Keep a jogging log or use a fitness app to monitor your distance, pace, and improvements.
Would you like any specific jogging tips, such as for weight loss or endurance training?

    Not on a 5k that’s marathon tactics 😂

  24. @tme9369 on April 5, 2025 at 9:18 pm

It actually makes sense if you run at a slower pace, you can probably run that pace longer rather than just going all out and trying to run as fast as possible. Idk if that makes sense.

This is sooooooooooooooo true. Best advice I ever got. Started running again recently. 24+ minute mile at first. Real slow. Now 19 to 20 without any effort and without even realizing it.❤❤❤❤

Imagine Mike Tyson, You Had To Survive Round One, Where He Gave All His Force All Out, But In Round Two, It Becomes From *Impossible* To *God Please Send Help* James Douglas Defeated Tyson Because He Drove Him Long Enough For Tyson To Be Tired, And He Won, Basically Try To Put Yourself In The Shoes Of Tyson, If You Know This Then Try To Change Style Going From Calm To Powerful, Cuz Calm Means Smoother, And Smoother Means Powerful (Obviously Not Taken From One Of The Comments 😉) That Takes The Same For A Marathon, You Have To Do The Snowball Effect, Going From Small To Big, Be Calm And Some Regular Speed, Later On The Marathon, You Will Reach Your Full Potential, Then, You Try And Keep It Up.
